Well we have had a crazy last few months with life and jobs. Now we have some big news to share. My hubby got a job in Louisiana so we are moving from Utah to Louisiana. He is already there. Has been for two weeks now and I am here holding down the fort. I never thought in a million years that I would ever live in Louisiana. But I had the pleasure to visit there twice last year and fell in love with the people. The landscape is aww inspiring and I am so excited to take this next adventure.
Now isn’t this a huge move!
I was most of all worried to tell my oldest who was planning on going to University here in Utah about the move. I didn’t think I was quite ready to have her stay here with me being so far away. But to my surprise she was thrilled with the idea of the move and will come and go to school in Louisiana. So happy.
I am now in Utah trying to rent our home. I entertained family while they came to town to celebrate my oldest graduating. Did one birthday party and doing another one here soon as well. Packing up, organizing many details for this move and still doing my training on top of it all. Cardio twice a day now even. It’s been a huge undertaking, overwhelming at times and exhausting for sure. But holding it together to be able to be the best me for my kids and hubby while we get through these 5 week apart.
Utah has been likely the most beautiful place I have ever lived. Hot summers and warm spring and falls and the most mild winters I have ever lived in. After growing up in Canada the warmth has been my most favourite thing about this place.
Louisiana will be a whole new adventure. The humidity will be a new thing. I have lived in Omaha with their brutal humidity so I have an idea of what I am getting myself into. I have naturally curly hair so this will be a new adventure for sure.
I am so excited to experience all that Louisiana has to offer us. The no snow idea is thrilling for me. The idea that I can wear shorts all year round is also exciting. I am excited to have culture back in every day life. Its one of the biggest things I miss with living in Utah.
So here we go. By the 4th of July we will be in Louisiana!
